EMBA’s machinery is
now put into operation
in record time
Since 1954, EMBA Machinery AB has manufactured conversion machines, spare parts and upgrade kits for the global corrugated paper industry.
The company is owned today by a family company, Berg Industries, which develops and manufactures machinery and equipment for the corrugated paper industry, and steel wire products for the paper pulp industry, as well as carrying out processing, and renting out industrial and office buildings.
Their customers are to be found worldwide, from global groups with a large number of factories and machines to smaller family companies with one or two machines from EMBA’s range.
”Cortec’s anti-corrosion protection is very easy to use and it guarantees that the products arrive with our customers in the best condition.”
– Jan Andréasson,
Production Engineer, EMBA
Traditional anti-corrosion
protection is time consuming
With transports all around the world, good anti-corrosion protection is decisive for guaranteeing deliveries. Previously, EMBA used traditional methods. All the units and parts had to be coated in ”fat and grease”, before shipping in containers or being transported by lorry. When the equipment arrived, everything had to be washed off again; time-consuming work with harmful solvents. Only once this had been done could work start on assembly and installation.
Tribotec’s anti-corrosion protection provides substantial time gains
Today, EMBA has worked with Cortec’s anti-corrosion protection products from Tribotec for 12 years. Compared to before, each delivery now takes 1/3 of the time to assemble and put into operation.
”Tribotec has protected our machine units and spare parts from corrosion during transport, both on lorry trailers in Europe and in containers during shipping worldwide. Always with a very good result,” says Jan Andréasson, Production Engineer, at EMBA. ”Other solutions against corrosion have been time-consuming, expensive and less good for the environment.”
Tribotec offers a complete anti-corrosion protection programme based on the so-called VpCI technology. An environmentally sound packaging method where the content is secured by an active, invisible anti-corrosion protection. The protected parts are ready for immediate use, which saves time and leads to a better work environment.
”We think Cortec’s liquid anti-corrosion protection agent from Tribotec is easy to apply, and the VpCI plastic film is very easy to handle. Together, they provide complete protection and guarantee that the products arrive with our customers in the best condition,” concludes Jan.
