LSR 2171 leads the way for CIPG

Liquid seals, known as CIPGs, allow for quick production and maximum repeatability and are therefore a popular means of sealing products in, among others, the automotive industry. It is important for all sealing materials that they can bear a high load for a long time without becoming deformed. They also often require good resistance to chemicals.

Tribotec is now launching a silicone material that combines excellent compression-resistance with high temperature resistance, and at the same time the best resistance in the market to organic oils, e.g. engine and gearbox oils.

The new Silopren® LSR 2171 is a dual component silicone material that hardens extremely quickly in heat and adheres to a number of different kinds of surfaces. Suitable for seals for gearboxes, coolers, engine blocks, etc.
