Anti-corrosion protection with soya beans

It is now possible to replace harmful mineral oils and flammable solvents. Cortec BioCorr® is a water-based, biodegradable anti-corrosion protection product that eliminates expensive disposal costs and ensures a clean workplace.

Given that the price of oil has passed USD 100 per barrel, it is to be expected that continued use of petroleum-based anti-corrosion protection will lead to enormous cost increases. There is now a way to avoid this problem.

We are pleased to be able to present yet another environmentally-sound anti-corrosion protection product. BioCorr® is a 100 % bio-based and biodegradable oil for protection of metals during transportation and storage. As this product is free from chloride compounds, chromates and nitrites from VOCs, you are assured a clean workplace without the risk of hazardous spills. This solution provides complete protection for up to 2 years at minimum expense.

This is how it works

Film-forming additives in combination with VpCIs (Vapour-phase Corrosion Inhibitors) enable BioCorr® to provide excellent anti-corrosion protection for multi-metals. The oil is free from chloride rostfrittcompounds, chromates and nitrites and can be applied easily as a dip or spray. BioCorr® is useful as biodegradable anti-corrosion protection for machinery and equipment, providing >2 years’ protection during transportation and storage, as well as protection for pipes, flanges, gears, cast iron and steel sheets and coils. This product is available in 19-litre buckets, 208-litre drums and bulk. It can even be used with our Air-spray system.
